Mixed wood pellets
Waste from pallet, furniture and packaging production, often with bark and varying moisture.
We grind and dry mixed wood to one moisture level, otherwise the pellets fall apart during packaging. Waste from boards and glued timber must be checked before selecting the die, which is why we ask for a sample.
What you need to know
- Grinding
- needed, hammer mill before the granulator
- Typical moisture
- varies, we measure it before selecting the line

A pellet line for this raw material
Two lines to start from, and below them the production stages: which ones this raw material needs and which machines do the job.

Feed hopper needed
Takes in the raw material and feeds it evenly into the line.
Feed hoppers with a screw discharger (V-shaped walls), Feed hoppers with a slat scraper (vertical walls)
-
Grinding needed
The material has to be ground to sawdust size before it reaches the pellet mill.
-
Drying it depends
A dryer only above 15% moisture. We measure it on a sample.
-
Pelleting needed
The heart of the line. For this material: selected after testing a sample.
-
Cooling it depends
Needed from about 200 to 250 kg/h. It can be skipped with big bags, not with small bags.

Screening needed
A drum or vibrating screen separates dust from the finished pellets.

Other raw materials
Test your raw material before choosing a line
Send a sample and see what pellets we can make from it. We test the material on our pellet mills and give you recommendations on the die and the choice of machines.
- You fill in the request, we call back and agree how much material to send (usually 2 to 3 bags).
- We pelletise it on the test line in Sieradz; you are welcome to watch.
- You receive a pellet sample and a report with a recommended die and line set-up.
