Manure pellets
Pellets from horse, cattle or poultry manure are an organic fertiliser sold in bags.
Manure needs no grinding but almost always drying. The line ends with bagging, because the buyers are garden centres and farmers. Pelletising manure reduces its volume and odour, and the fertiliser is easy to dose.
What you need to know
- Grinding
- not needed for a fine fraction
- Typical moisture
- above 15%, a dryer is needed
- Die
- fertiliser die, selected after testing

A pellet line for this raw material
Two lines to start from, and below them the production stages: which ones this raw material needs and which machines do the job.

Feed hopper needed
Takes in the raw material and feeds it evenly into the line.
Feed hoppers with a screw discharger (V-shaped walls), Feed hoppers with a slat scraper (vertical walls)
-
Grinding not needed for this material
Fine, dusty material goes straight on, without a grinder.
-
Drying needed
Above 15% moisture the line needs a dryer, sized to the amount of material.
-
Pelleting needed
The heart of the line. For this material: fertiliser die, selected after testing.
-
Cooling it depends
Needed from about 200 to 250 kg/h. It can be skipped with big bags, not with small bags.
-
Screening needed
A drum or vibrating screen separates dust from the finished pellets.

Other raw materials
Test your raw material before choosing a line
Send a sample and see what pellets we can make from it. We test the material on our pellet mills and give you recommendations on the die and the choice of machines.
- You fill in the request, we call back and agree how much material to send (usually 2 to 3 bags).
- We pelletise it on the test line in Sieradz; you are welcome to watch.
- You receive a pellet sample and a report with a recommended die and line set-up.
